In accordance with EU guidelines, from 2006 onwards it has been necessary to present an energy performance certificate for the construction, sale or rental of buildings. This certificate may not be older than ten years

This certificate enables you to make a comparison and an evaluation of the building and, further more, must contain recommendations for improvement measures.

The use of energy certificates is particularly advanced in Austria because many federal state governments provide housing subsidies that are dependent upon the energy index.

The certificate contains valuable information such as e.g. the energy requirement, the heat loss through the individual building components and through the air conditioning, solar energy yield, as well as the heating load of your building. This information is especially valuable in the calculation of diverse measures for the conversion or redevelopment of the building at a later date.
